What to Expect in Worship

If you come on a Sunday morning to worship, you will find some people wearing jeans and sneakers, others suits, ties. Our focus isn't on a person's outward appearance, but on worship of God from the heart and coming to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord. Reading of Scripture and a biblical message is foundational to our worship. Worship consists of singing of the old hymns and contemporary Christian songs. Children's stories are a regular part of the the worship experience prior to the children being excused for Junior Church. We seek to create a relaxed, informal environment in which each individual has an opportunity to encounter God in worship.

Values

Mt Wilson has commitments that shape our ministry. It is our desire to create a safe environment that promotes healthy relationships so we may grow in our faith in Jesus Christ and work together in true unity. It is our mission to be a place where people can genuinely seek to grow in faith as they face their doubts and struggles. It is our passion that people come to authentically know God through Jesus Christ, and live and serve out of a personal relationship with God.   

 

Devotion

Our mission is to encourage people to live their daily lives out of personal communion with God.  Learning the scripture and developing a prayer life is central to that mission. So, encouraging Intentional  study of the Bible as well as growing in our prayer life is an important focus of our church. 

Transformation

The calling to love others as Jesus loved means there is a need for transformation. We strive to create an atmosphere for emotional healing through the gospel as individuals move toward emotional maturity.  

Missional

As Jesus Christ works in and through us to fulfill his mission, it is our anticipation that those who are a part of the church will offer their gifts and abilities in service to others and live missionally in the world.
